Pleasure Craft Operators Card

This classroom based program, accredited by Transport Canada, gives participants the essential knowledge of boating rules and regulation as well as safety practices.
Successful completion of the approved Operator Proficiency Exam results in the issuance of a Canadian Coast Guard Pleasure Craft Operators Certificate.
The PCOC is required to operate a pleasure craft in Canada. The Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) will be allowed in lieu of the Marine Emergency Duties (MED A4) for crewmembers on board commercial fishing vessels and non-passenger carrying vessels not more than 15 GT operating in sheltered waters not more than 2 miles from shore.
