Fall Protection Hazard Awareness

Fall Protection Hazard Awareness training increases knowledge and understanding of the hazards and provides practical safeguards to the dangers of falling.
Training provides the client with knowledge of relevant legislation for working at heights, prevention strategies of slips, trips and falls and methods for calculating clearance heights with an investigation into body harness donning techniques, effects of falling on the human body and ladder safety.
An important element of this training is raising awareness to the potential severity of injury due to falls from both large and small heights, highlighting the need for fall restraint and fall arrest systems.
A review of the requirement for and principles of required protection rescue plans is included; however, training to conduct rescues requires completion of a Fall Arrest Rescue training program.
Arctic Response is capable of assisting clients in development and implementation of their internal Working at Heights standards and training.
