Medical First Responder - Level 2

This hands-on, scenario based program enhances students abilities as a first responder by learning advanced first aid skills.

Program participants are tested using scenarios with actual injuries to examine their abilities, knowledge and skill to identify how they will deal mentally and physically with an injury.

The program focuses on:

• Advanced assessment skills,
• use of specialized equipment,
• how to deal with injuries on remote sites,
• oxygen therapy,
• spinal immobilization,
• automatic external defibrillation,

Prequisites include:

• Standard First Aid
• CPR C
• Medical First Responder – Level 1

This program meets WCB requirements for the mines safety act.
