Standard First Aid (CPR / AED)

Geared to meet industry, business and government requirements, Standard Level First Aid training develops general first aid knowledge and results in students becoming First Aid certified.
The primary course content is:
- An Introduction to AED
- Airway, breathing and circulation Emergencies
- First Aid for Respiratory and Cardiac Arrest
- Head, spine, bone, muscle and joint Injuries
- Sudden Medical Emergencies and Environmental Emergencies,
- The EMS System,
- Wound Care
Succesful candidates must attend and participate in 100% of the course and will be required to demonstrate an ability to comprehend and successfully demonstrate skills investigated and pass a knowledge-based written test with a minimum mark of 75%.
The Standard First Aid Certificate is valid for 3 years. Arctic Response also offer a recertification for this course.
Arctic Response instructors are certified to deliver both Red Cross and St John Ambulance Standard first Aid level courses.
