Snowmobile Safety & Operation
Cost: $450.00 (Note) | Course Length: 1 day | Min/Max # Students: 8/12
This course will increase awareness and develop the skill set of people operating snowmobiles for recreational use or as a job requirement.
Students will have the opportunity to identify their own abilities and their snowmobiles capabilities to gain confidence and improve their skill set through practical exercises in a controlled learning environment on the second day of the course.

Designed to promote a safety orientated approach to riding in accordance with federal law and local by-laws, the Arctic Response Snowmobile Safety & Operation program trains students in pre-trip planning, basic user maintenance, loading and unloading from a trailer, safe riding techniques and related essentials of survival.
Target audiences for this training include Novice, Intermediate, and Experienced Enthusiasts, Ground Search & Rescue Teams, OH&S Safe Work Plan Requirements, Hunters/Fishermen and Guides/Tourism Operators.
Candidate Requirements
DOT or CSA approved helmet
Eye protection
Appropriate winter clothing
Registered and serviceable snowmobile
For an additional fee, Arctic Response may source and provide snowmobiles on an as available basis.
