Wilderness First Aid is typically run over a period of 8 hours classroom and a minimum of 16 hours field training. Overnight field training can be included at an additional charge and is strongly encouraged to improve both survival and patient sustaining care skills.

Training is appropriate for all employees and persons who work or travel in remote Northern areas. As a result popular clients include:
• Guides
• Outfitters
• Other wilderness professionals.
Each course is tailored to deal with the most probable remote medical emergencies the client is likely to deal with. Prior to training, Arctic Response personnel will meet with your organization to discuss the specifics of your work or travel from which to develop training scenarios.
Popular training scenarios include:
• Deep cold casualties
• Air crash trauma
• Gunshot wounds
