Hoisting and Rigging Hazard Awareness training makes employees aware of the hazards and provides practical safeguards to the dangers of working with hoisting equipment.
We provide candidates with knowledge of relevant legislation for working with hoisting equipment, prevention strategies of rigging various loads, crane safety, pulley systems, universal hand signals systems and proper sizing and weight calculation techniques
This training encompasses the rights of workers as related to safety, duties and responsibilities, calculating load weights, hazards in crane operating areas, types of cranes, through to the need for tag lines and rigging systems.
An important element of this training is raising awareness to the potential severity of injury, property and equipment loss or damage due to unsecured loads, over-loading and the collapse of hoisting equipment.
Succesful students will pass the Written exam with an 80% minimum pass mark, achieve 100% on Knot tying and 100% pass on Hand signals, effectively complete a pre-determined Practical task and undergo Practical observation.
