What does your company do?
Arctic Response Canada Ltd. provides training solutions to clients. From identifying training requirements through a needs analysis to planning and conducting training, Arctic Response works to ensure safety is maintained for the worker and the company.
Can your company travel to communities to instruct courses?
YES, Arctic Response instructors regularly travel to Northern communities to instruct courses. We are capable of bringing the training to you wherever your location throughout Canada.

Prices on this website are provided in good faith and are as accurate as possible. There may be a requirement from time to time to make minor modifications to pricing for individual classes based on fluctuations in expenses due to location, time of year, availability of resources, etc.
The class or per person price will be agreed to prior to enrollment.
Classes that are listed in our online schedule are listed with the correct price for that specific class.

Are your instructors qualified?
All Arctic Response instructors are certified in their areas of expertise. We undertake regular refresher training and are proactive in furthering our skills and knowledge plus developing abilities in related areas.
I am moving to Yellowknife in October for a short term contract . Do i need survival training?
The Winter months are long and cold in the Northwest Territories. Expect temperatures ranging from 0oC to -40oC during your stay with little daylight from December through January.
Invest in quality clothing. Remember to layer and stay away from cottons! Contact us for advice on what not to wear. Your company should arrange related training if your work will require you to be in the field, but it’s never a bad idea to research how to keep yourself safe. check out our Field Safety section for information on courses you may be interested in and our Health & Safety section for additional courses you may want to take in your own time.
My First Aid certificate has expired. Where can i get re-certified?
Arctic Response offers First aid re-certification at all of our 3 locations. Contact us or search our schedule of upcoming courses to find out when our next course is running. Check how long ago your ceritficate expired. You may be required to take the full 2 day course. we offer this and other related courses. You can find out more about these in our Health & Safety section .
I work on the land in The Yukon during the winter. What training should i have?
The training you need should be mandated by the company you work for. Speak with your supervisor to find out what training will be provided. You should be completing Job Risk Hazard Analysis before going into the field. Remember, STOP if you feel unsafe undertaking any part of your work. Our Field safety section comprises many of the training courses you can expect to take. Our Industrial Safety section includes courses which may be of further interest to you, depending on your work.
What training do i need before i can take your courses?
Many Arctic Response courses have no prerequisites other than the ability to undertake the work involved. Recertifications and advanced level courses require current/recent certification of the course. Contact us or check the course description for more information on what you will need.
